The Hugoton Learning Academy, Hugoton Public Charter School, has adapted a new curriculum that will be key in launching our Virtual Program.
E2020 is an online based curriculum that will give our students, both on site and virtually, a well-rounded education. The curriculum is known to meet our Kansas State Standards, meaning our students will now receive an education that meets traditional middle school and high school courses.
How can the HLA be of service to you? We provide services to 7th - 12th grade students. Completing our graduation requirements would mean that you would earn a state recognized diploma. This program is also designed to benefit the needs of children who are home schooled, or students who are unable to attend school on a regular basis.
E2020 also allows the HLA to fully teach the 21st Century Learning Skills, which is the overall theme of our school. To give an example, below is a list of electives offered:
Health
Psychology
Sociology
Spanish I
Spanish II
Intro to Art
Art History
Strategies for Academic Success
Consumer Skills
Computer Applications: Office 2007
Career Development & Planning
Lifetime Fitness (Coming Fall 2010)
Healthy Living (Coming Fall 2010)
Foundations of Personal Wellness (Coming Fall 2010)
As you can see we have much to be excited about! Early enrollment begins August 9th-11th. Please contact us if you would like more information on our Fall enrollment.
